Whether you’ve been with us since 2023 or just joined us yesterday, welcome to the Kitchen Table.
As three women of color building this business from the ground up, we know firsthand the challenge of maintaining wellness while juggling demanding careers and personal commitments. Our journey has taught us this: wellness isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up for yourself, even when life gets busy.
At Mindy’s Kitchen of California (Mindy’s for short), we believe everyone deserves access to food that nourishes, not as a luxury, but as a given. That belief is what drives every shakable salad we create: plant-based and allergen-friendly.
None of this would be possible without the woman behind the vision, Melissa Muganzo. She's a graduate of the Alchemist Microenterprise Academy (AMA) and is currently building Mindy's through the Alchemist Kitchen Incubator Program (AKIP). AKIP is a five-year program that supports entrepreneurs through mentorship, funding, and vending opportunities. Allowing entrepreneurs to develop food businesses from ideation through acquisition.
All of this is leading to a major milestone: the Alchemist Public Market, launching Fall 2026.
